what you really want.. the girls..

okay.. so jordan and i were putting some finishing touches on the coop the other week.. we found this SWEET sign in Rich's yard.. shh.. he doesn't know we used it. We decided it would fit appropriately on the coop.. and afford a wonderful name for the girls home. I think they like it, do you?

this is a good one..

So, it happened a few weeks ago, however it's a good one..

After an amazing weekend in Seward hiking Mt. Marathon.. i came back to the cabin where jordan found me about 2 min. later on the porch relieving myself.. surprised i jumped from the loo. We both then got this bright idea to canoe Portage River to the mouth at the Inlet.. then bike back to the car.. long story short.. water level FAR TO LOW.. he and i well, after portaging over two moose ponds which we miss took for the river only made it about 1/4 of a mile down the river to the nearest roadside. Here's a few photos..

Classic .. stuck on a rock .. AGAIN.. oh yea.. this was fun!

Plus one SWEET photo of me.. this was taken just as we were trying to roll the canoe off the rock.. tricky!

hiking ship and indian valley...

Hey all.. it's been a bit since posting.. so this will be GOOD!

Hiking over Memorial Day was AMAZING to say the least.. beautiful weather, per usual time spent in Alaska is Time spent with GOD. let me show you why...

jordan, tessa and I hiked up the Indian Valley to this spot where it meets the Ship Creek Valley we then hiked into the Ship Lake Valley and found this little nest of a camping spot. That's right.. we camping in a little nook on the side of Mount Williwaw. No tent just us the mountain and God.

it was a restful night among the lichen and alpine tundra.. it makes a wonderful bed.. we needed a restful sleep to for we knew in the morning it would be a super climb up to the pass. Along the way we needed to cross several avalanche shoots and rocky terrain.

Jordan did a fabulous job creating magic on the mountain.. he photographed tessa and i in way that make me wonder! A truly gifted photographer.

yea.. i took that one.. not so bad.. and yes.. ALASKA IS AMAZING.. our weather is beyond me.. and i am loving it!
